This site profiles every known grocery store that offers online ordering for home delivery by the grocer or via carrier. The major players are Peapod, Safeway and Vons, but many smaller grocers also offer online ordering. Some deliver exclusively through UPS or FedEx, so only sell dry and canned goods. The largest player there is Amazon.com. (If you'd like delivery of fresh vegetables, join a CSA via localharvest.org and support a local farmer.) When available, we have posted grocery delivery coupon codes to save you a few bucks. Thanks again for visiting our online grocery guide, and please write us with any suggestions or comments, or if you find a broken or outdated link.

In a 1979 issue of the Journal of Food Science, Menard Heydanek, Geoffrey Woolford and L.C. Baugh of the Flavor Technology Department of the John Stuart Laboratories at Quaker Oats published a paper entitled "Premiums and Coupons as a Potential Source of Objectionable Flavor in Cereal Products" (we think coupons make everything taste better!). The researchers found that the standard plastic envelopes used to keep the coupons and toys from touching the cereal are adequate protection for a year or more.
