D'Agostino Grocery Delivery
D'Agostino Supermarket began in 1932, founded by two Italian immigrant brothers who worked as pushcart peddlers, mill workers and apprentice butchers before opening a small store on Lexington Ave. and 83rd Street in Manhattan. Besides offering groceries and baked goods, the partners offered home delivery for phoned-in orders by Upper East Side residents and their staff. The chain is still owned and operated by the D’Agostino family. Nicholas D’Agostino, Jr. is the chairman and CEO and his son, Nicholas D’Agostino, III is the president and COO.
