SodaStream offers home soda makers and flavoring. About the size of a coffee maker, the soda makers let you create seltzer from tap water and saves you money (a liter of seltzer costs about 17 cents and soda about 42 cents) the trouble of lugging cans back and forth to the supermarket. The soda makers require no batteries, electricity or plumbing so can be taken anywhere. SodaStream explains how it works: "A reusable, one-liter BPA-free carbonating bottle provided by SodaStream is filled with water and screwed into the machine fitting. A CO2 carbonator, housed inside the soda maker, adds carbonation at the touch of a button, as much or as little as you like. After carbonating the water, you add a capful of one of more than 25 flavors." Its soda mix flavors also have two-thirds less sugar, calories, carbs and sodium that store-bought soda.
